AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. We are a national organization that serves local customer needs. Centralization and standardization are key to many AIPSO services because of the inherent economies of scale and other efficiencies.  However, our organization is based on customer focus and recognizes the need for flexibility in serving customer groups with diverse interests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide input on system development and redesign to ensure accuracy and usability. Manage system changes, mainframe software upgrades, plan rule updates, and coordinate process improvements to enhance quality, timeliness, and efficiency. 
  • Oversee data integrity through reconciliation, reporting, and enhancement initiatives. Interpret analytical findings, maintain quality standards, and recommend data checks or inquiries to improve accuracy.
  • Support and guide staff through issue resolution, training, and mentoring. Oversee performance management, including goal setting, evaluations, and professional growth. Assist staff in researching and resolving data issues as they pertain to mainframe processing. 
  • Lead projects, manage timelines, allocate resources effectively, and ensure strategic objectives are met through collaboration, communication, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with AIPSO departments, align goals with managers, communicate insights and findings, and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Education:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university preferably in Mathematics or Statistics. Additional appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience:
8 or more years of related experience, with 4 or more years of supervisory experience required.  End user knowledge of Microsoft office software, scheduling software, database and file transfer packages.  Must be able to effectively lead department-based teams in a deadline-oriented environment.

Skills/Knowledge:
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office productivity tools (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, CRM) to manage work.
  • Adept at mainframe processing (JCL), SQL, mainframe conversion to open systems, and other analytic tools (Power BI).
  • Effective problem-solving skills, including ability to analyze complex issues, find the root cause of the problem, and consider a wide range of alternatives before acting.
  • Strong analytical skills to research, interpret and assess impact of business needs.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or individuals.
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and interact professionally and effectively in a team environment.
  • Provides leadership by example through feedback and input in group meetings and discussions.
  • Automobile insurance knowledge is a plus.

Salary Range: $97,900 - $156,300 Annual.  Actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; internal equity and other conditions of employment.
