AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. We are a national organization that serves local customer needs. Centralization and standardization are key to many AIPSO services because of the inherent economies of scale and other efficiencies. However, our organization is based on customer focus and recognizes the need for flexibility in serving customer groups with diverse interests.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and/or contribute to project documentation including timelines, initiation document, work break down structure, estimates, etc.
- Identify stakeholders, business problems, business objectives related to system issues and projects while accounting for the impact across other business functions and systems.
- Analyze and use data to recommend business systems solutions.
- Support design review sessions ensuring compliance with requirements, system standards and usability.
- Participate in meetings with customer groups and/or IT, including senior management, to present findings and recommendations and influences decisions on proposed ideas.
- Assist with coordinating the design, development and delivery of the training related to assigned projects.
- Conduct and/or coordinate communications efforts as it relates to projects to include status, timeline, scope changes, risks and issues, rollouts, etc.
- Contribute to the post implementation review and may make recommendations for process changes relative to a specific process or project.
- May research and share industry best practices.
Specifications/Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university majoring in a technical related field of study preferred. Additional appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience:
Two or more years of experience in back-end business systems (e.g. systems enhancements, testing and analyzing systems, etc.) preferred.
Skills/
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of vendor and/or internally developed systems including system interfaces, user functionality and various system environments.
- Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office skills (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Effective problem-solving skills, including ability to analyze complex issues, find the root cause of the problem, and consider a wide range of alternatives before acting.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or individuals.
- Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility while maintaining acute attention to detail.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and interact professionally and effectively in a team environment.
- Provide leadership by example through feedback and input in group meetings and discussions.
- Understand business area processes and procedures and use process mapping tools for current and new systems solutions.
Salary Range: $52,700 - $84,300/$63,100 - $100,700 Annual. Actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; internal equity and other conditions of employment.
