Senior UI/UX Designer (Fortune 100 Media Company) 

We are currently seeking a talented Sr. UI/UX Designer to join our team. This role will be responsible for contributing design solutions for web based software and is expected to work as an advisor to help identify, educate, and foster best-in-class solutions. The role requires the applicant to create and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and team members. Creating these relationships requires strong communication skills and some travel.

Our headquarters is in Saratoga Springs, New York; however, the location for this position is onsite at our client's location in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. There is flexibility to work remotely a few days a week.

Core Responsibilities

  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide expertise as well as customer service to meet a wide variety of requirements
  • Quickly provide insight and options to UX challenges
  • Partner with a development team to deliver enhancements to existing portfolio of web based applications
  • Focus on maintaining a unified experience across multiple applications
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and business teams to create consumer-like, elegant, intuitive experience for enterprise users
  • Contribute both technically and in an advisory role to projects
  • Provide front-end architectural and antithetical thought leadership
  • Stay current with the fast-changing landscape of browser based application development
Skills & Experience Required
  • Experience with Responsive Web Design (RWD) patterns
  • Ability to create non-functional wireframes rapidly in a vector tool of choice (Illustrator, Sketch, etc…)
  • Ability to create prototypes (proof of concepts) at varying degrees of fidelity
  • Comfort level
  • Working in an Agile environment; knowledge of SCRUM framework a plus
  • Strong team-building, vendor, and customer relations skills
  • Strong communication skills (wireframes, white boarding, discussions, etc)
  • Experience maintaining and/or extending a style guide for scalability and cross application usage
  • Experience leading User Driven Design discussions and research
  • Experience producing work that supports an MVP or more detailed product
Nice to Have, but not Required
  • Some JavaScript language experience
  • Experience with Angular 1
  • Experience with CSS (SASS/SCSS)
  • HTML 5
