Northeast Credit Union (NECU), with over $1.7 billion in assets, located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, has created a strategic role for a Senior Vice President of Human Resources to be part of a dynamic and collaborative Executive Leadership Team.  

Reporting to the President/Chief Executive Officer, the SVP will establish and implement human resources initiatives that will continue to drive an employee-centric culture and carry out the strategic mission and vision established by the credit union.  Additionally, this individual will oversee the recruitment, on-boarding, training, and assessment of the Board of Directors and other Credit Union Volunteers. 

Voted the Best Credit Union in New Hampshire by Forbes Magazine three years in a row, the senior leader will actively solicit and maintain knowledge of current trends, best practices, talent management, and employment law.  The ability to communicate changes in policies and procedures, ensuring compliance within all human resources areas, is essential in this position.

Responsible for delivering evolving policies and programs related to team member relations, external education, and career development while providing partnerships supporting all divisional leaders throughout the organization.

Eight to ten years of experience in an HR Strategic Leadership position and a proven track record of successful accomplishments in leading a forward-thinking, engaged, and high-performing employee culture are critical. A Master’s degree or fifteen years of relevant HR experience is required.
