With over $6 billion in assets, Hudson Valley Credit Union (HVCU), located in Poughkeepsie, New York, has an excellent opportunity for a strategic Secondary Market Manager to join their Real Estate, lending team!  

The manager will be responsible for the administration of the real estate pricing desk, including rate lock coverage for portfolio and secondary market saleable loans, interest rate risk position on all Real Estate loans, and maintaining adequate secondary market forward coverage for all saleable loans.  

Reporting directly to the AVP of Real Estate Lending with overall accountability in managing a high-performing team, the manager will ensure the delivery of results within attainable industry and regulatory standards.  This individual will make recommendations regarding rate lock-related issues and setting expectations on mortgage prices based upon HVCU’s profitability, pricing strategy, and investor requirements. 

The incoming candidate will administer the selling of loans into the secondary market to maximize profits by determining appropriate investor, delivery methods, and timeframes.  A solid understanding of regulatory and compliance on the secondary market with experience in managing operational systems is required.

A Bachelor’s degree or at least two years equivalent experience for each undergraduate year not completed, plus three years management experience, is required.  A minimum of 5 years of real estate mortgage pricing analysis and secondary market to include Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, DHA agency guidelines products, and pricing strategies are essential in this role.
