Located in beautiful San Diego, SDCCU has an immediate opening for a strategic and collaborative EVP, Chief Financial Officer, to join a high-performing executive team!

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the incoming EVP, Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the investment portfolio and guaranteeing the accuracy of managing the accounting and finance-related functions while maintaining quality service standards set by the organization. In conjunction with EVP Operations and Enterprise Risk Management, the Chief Financial Officer will provide joint leadership of the Enterprise Risk Management Program to ensure risks are adequately recognized and evaluated. The EVP, Chief Financial Officer, will be responsible for ongoing reporting, ensuring that all employees understand the importance of adhering to internal control objectives, developing long-term plans and budgets. The incoming executive will oversee the Credit Union Strategic and Operating Budget process in the Financial Analysis Department and the accounting and finance departments' hiring, training, and efficient operation.

A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting or finance is required. A Master's degree in a related field, CPA credential is highly preferred. Five to ten years of CFO experience within a billion + financial institution with demonstrated familiarity regarding laws and regulations applicable to financial institutions is needed. Practical written and verbal communication skills are required to successfully manage multiple projects, establish priorities, and meet deadlines are essential in this role.
