America's Christian Credit Union is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to join its Finance department!

The Financial Planning Analyst's role is a new position to help drive critical business decisions by generating financial business cases for evaluating new products, services, and vendor relationships, analyzing metrics and data, and designing and presenting management reports. To succeed in this role, the analyst must understand how goals will be measured for each strategy, who owns the strategies, and how projects will collaborate to achieve goal attainment. This analyst must work with the CFO to assemble business cases with the business teams and critically review the assumptions and expected project outcomes. Then include them in the forecast and track actual performance. Also, candidates must understand how data relates to and reconciles the general ledger and financial statements. They must understand the available data, how it is structured, and how to gather it quickly and effectively and determine what is relevant. Candidates will need to have clear and effective communication skills, the ability to interact with departments across all disciplines of the Credit Union, challenge assumptions and drive the creation of goals, and then provide feedback on the achievement of those goals.   Candidates will be required to structure data to find insights and report them in an easily digestible way. The analyst will prepare an ad hoc analysis of various financial aspects of the Credit Union's operations, including the profitability of products, services, and vendor relationships. 

A Bachelor's degree or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a four-year degree. Three years to five years of similar or related experience is required. Must have extensive knowledge of technology tools used in report writing and data gathering, including Excel, database query tools, general ledger software, and Microsoft Office programs. The ability to work with large datasets from disparate sources and draw conclusions quickly is required. Experience with large datasets, advanced Excel skills, SQL, Power Query and BI software such as Tableau or PowerBI a plus. Public accounting or auditing experience preferred. Financial institution experience preferred. Degree or experience in Financial Planning and Analysis preferred.
