Senior Accountant (Albuquerque, NM)
Rio Grande Credit Union has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team!
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this individual will provide a high level of guidance, support, and advice to the accounting team. The Senior Accountant will support the preparation of financial records with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and clear audit trails. The incoming accountant will assist the team with day-to-day activities and partner with senior management to minimize findings from internal and external audits and exams to maintain high compliance standards.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, call reports, and regulatory reports for senior management while overseeing and approving final reconciliations in a timely manner.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or completion of a specialized course of study, with a minimum of five years of related experience working within a financial institution as an accountant. Exceptional analytical knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management are needed in this role.
