Job Summary
This position will work with a variety of stakeholders to create, manage and maintain our ERP system, internal networking, applications and other IT related infrastructure. The Programmer will work in an individual and team environment with oversight from management.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Correct errors by making appropriate changes and then rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are produced.
  • Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct.
  • Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program.
  • Write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs, such as inventory tracking, data mining, or equipment controls.
  • Communicate with managerial, technical personnel and users to clarify requirements, identify problems, and suggest changes.
  • Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
  • Write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs, using workflow chart and diagram, and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic.
  • Participate and engage in Open Book Management philosophies
  • Support IATF 16949:2016 requirements
Physical Demands:
  • Work is performed mostly in a controlled atmosphere. Some exposure to harsh conditions periods of time is possible.
  • Physical Ability - Lift, handle, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, Sit 50%, Walk 50
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years experience or training in any of the following languages: ASP.NET, LINQ, C# .NET, Visual Basic .NET, Pick Basic, SMI / Realtime RPL, T-SQL
  • Knowledge of multi-threading / thread safe development
  • Working knowledge of IIS 8.0+, Session State Server development, Web Application Life Cycle
  • Working knowledge of Client Socket and Serial Communications, Basic networking
  • Must have experience with SQL and SQL databases
  • Experience with SSIS, SSRS a plus
  • Must have working knowledge of Visual Studio 2012+
  • Project Management skills and the ability to manage your own projects
  • Must have intensity, motivation, and desire combined with strong multi-tasking abilities.
  • Excellent attendance and dependability. Some nights and weekends are required.
  • Clear and understandable written and verbal skills
  • Understands the need for safety and has formed safe working habits.
  • Proven ability to work and contribute as part of a team.
  • Must have reliable transportation. Some travel within the Springfield area is required. Business mileage is reimbursed through the company.
