The Programmer is responsible for the enhancement and support of Infor-CSI / Syteline ERP System functionality as well as other programming needs using .NET and Mongoose programming languages. Maintain existing enhanced software by debugging and enhancing the software. This position may also be responsible for maintaining the PICK database by revising, repairing, expanding, and improving its performance. 
  • Primary responsibility is providing support for Infor CSI /Syteline ERP and related business systems.
  • Prepare a software requirements tractability matrix for projects.
  • Lead/Participate in application development and upgrade projects.
  • Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct.
  • Meet with stake holders during the development life cycle to verify requirements and identify changes in the design needed to meet the requirements. Identify changes to the requirements that require change management.
  • Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so other subsequent personnel can interpret the program.
  • Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
  • Prepare reference material that describes the operation of the software.
  • Document test results for unit, component, system and release testing for projects prior to end user acceptance testing. Participate in end user acceptance testing meeting.
  • Consult with and assist end users to define and resolve problems in running computer programs.
  • Special projects or assignments as directed by management.
  • Code, test, and document new programs while enhancing current programs to meet company requirements
  • Investigate and diagnose minor problems to programs by following proper instruction and system specifications
  • Perform system analysis and help users develop solutions to help with their job duties
  • Train new department personnel and develop training materials and procedures
  • Communicate with management changes to existing hardware and software or proposals for new requirements and equipment
  • Some travel within the Springfield area is required
  • Occasional nights and/or weekends are necessary
  • Participates in and supports the principles of Open Book Management and recognizes the responsibilities of being an owner of the company 
Work is performed mostly in a controlled atmosphere. Some exposure to harsh conditions—such as:  dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures—for short periods of time is possible.  This employee will be required to demonstrate continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements.  All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
Standing 10%, sitting, 80%, walking 10%. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required.  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. 
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; four years’ experience including .NET Development (.NET, Mongoose tool set); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hands on experience with SQL and Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI) ERP software (Syteline) forms, tables and IDO’s. Experience supporting a manufacturing environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain relationships with co-workers, supervisors and upper management. This position also requires good oral and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Microsoft Certifications for .Net and SQL Development preferred. Syteline version 8.0 or higher. Familiar with SQL Report Services. Ability to design and interpret code, test and debug complex queries. Understanding of T-SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, DataViews, Triggers, Functions and Constraints. Specialized Computer Skills, Advanced Language Skills, Intermediate Mathematical Skills, and Advanced Reasoning Ability. Ability to communicate effectively, and work both independently and in teams.
