Summary
As the maintenance trainee you will repair and maintain equipment, machines, and the facilities, including preventative maintenance. Must work with the safety department to ensure all local, state and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met, OSHA 1910, NFPA, DNR.  Must work with the quality department to ensure all quality standards are met. 
 
Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Uses existing procedures and basic problem-solving techniques to define or resolve routine problems
  • Complete daily powered industrial truck inspections, daily pallet jack inspections, maintain good housekeeping practices
  • Ability to learn how to operate manual pallet jack, forklift, WAV, Taylor Dunn, JLG, press, power tools, pipe threader, lathe, mill, and welder
  • Utilize various hand tools such as tape measure, screw driver, hammer, etc.
  • Work with other departments to resolve issues they have
  • Follow preventative maintenance checklist and documentation
 Requirements
  • High School Diploma or HiSet (Formerly GED)
  • Regular, predictable and reliable attendance
  • Requiring hours of service that would average at least 30 hours of service per week (full time), overtime
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Globally Harmonized System (GHS) labels, Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
  • Ability to work with computers and software systems, must wear all personal protective equipment PPE
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stooping, twist, reach, reach overhead
  • Must be able to climb, pull, push, kneel, crawl, lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and lift up to 40 lbs. frequently, and lift up to 20 lbs. constantly
  • Must be able to attain a forklift license
  • Valid driver’s license
 Preferred
  • Preferred 3 + years of experience working within a manufacturing or industrial maintenance
  • Associate degree: Heating, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Industrial Systems Technology, or Machine Tool Technology

Near Vision: The ability to see at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Problem Sensitivity: The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
