What You Will Do:
As our Cost Accounting Manager, you will be a key business partner, working with production and supply chain to drive operational cost improvements, strong inventory controls, and support the team to meet or exceed financial commitments. You'll maintain accurate financial records and effective financial processes, systems and controls to ensure compliance with our policies and procedures.
  • Perform monthly accounting close procedures and timely and accurate reporting of financials to to our corporate office
  • Review monthly financial results and key metrics with management. Help functional leaders understand how they are doing compared to their budget and develop balance of the year forecasts
  • Proactively promote cost and headcount controls, and support leaders to achieve productivity/cost improvement commitments
  • Participate in sales and operations planning forecast discussions to develop a monthly sales and gross profit forecast
  • Develop and maintain accurate product cost standards for multiple product lines.  Provide concise and accurate analysis and explanations on cost variances and trends
  • Help to determine the potential profitability of new business opportunities.  Support bids and proposals process and contract reviews
  • Create annual business budget and monthly forecast
  • Perform inventory account reconciliations, monitor cycle counting results, and improve inventory management
  • Evaluate capital expenditure requests and validate return on investment
  • Maintain internal accounting control and SOX compliance, support internal and external audits
  • Be responsible for compliance with all federal, state, payroll, and other applicable laws

What You Must Have:
  • Bachelor' or Masters degree in Accounting or CPA certification
  • At least 7 years of experience in similar roles
  • Experience working in a publicly traded company
  • Manufacturing industry experience.  Aerospace industry is a plus
  • Cost accounting, cost accounting, cost accounting
  • Recent supervisory experience and a proven  track record of developing team members
  • Highly computer efficient and advanced use of Excel
  • The ability to influence people, build relationships and communicate effectively while working in fast paced, highly collaborative and ever changing environment
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States
