We currently have an opening in Simcoe County, ON for a:

Journeyperson Plumber

The Journeyperson plumber is required to install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems in construction settings.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for equipment, plumbing and related materials.
  • Identify required tools and special equipment.
  • Select the type and size of pipe required.
  • Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures.
  • Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment.
  • Assemble and install valves and fittings.
  • Install, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls.
  • Install, repair and maintain underground storm sanitary and water piping systems.
  • Install, repair and maintain sinks, tubs and toilets.
  • Install, repair and maintain water heaters and conditioners.
  • Install, repair and maintain plumbing fixtures, appliances and trim.
  • Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.
  • Working in compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation and Kenaidan's Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures in daily operations.
  • Other tasks as required.

Successful applicants must have the following qualification/skills:

  • Industry experience required.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Motivated to learn and contribute positively to the team.
  • Able to conduct oneself in public professionally and courteously.
  • Punctual, reliable and accountable.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work full time and outside of regular hours as required.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outside in all types of weather.
  • Site-based position.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (i.e. hard hat, safety boots) required.
