The Bloor-Yonge Capacity Improvements Project is a significant undertaking by the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) to expand and modernize Bloor-Yonge station – Canada’s busiest subway hub. This initiative is focused on meeting both current and future ridership needs by improving the station’s efficiency, capacity, and accessibility.
The Kenaidan Murphy Joint Venture (KMJV) is committed to transforming the station to enable faster, more reliable, and more comfortable travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area. The project will deliver upgraded facilities, contributing to a safer, cleaner, and higher-capacity subway system for passengers.

IT Systems Analyst - Projects
The Systems Analyst’s role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can
accomplish business tasks, as well as operate the organization’s Enterprise Application
systems. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving end
user help requests and escalating incidents when considered appropriate and necessary
to maintain SLA expectations. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and
help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give in-person, hands-on
help at the desktop level. Additionally, the Systems Analyst is responsible for the support
of the Enterprise systems necessary for business operations.
How will you contribute to the team?
To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Strategy & Planning
- Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.
- Alert management to emerging trends in incidents.
- Assist in ensuring that the Enterprise software (e.g. SharePoint, ERP system) meets business requirements and goals, fulfills user requirements, and identifies and resolves systems issues.
- Assist in Enterprise Application deployments and the change control process.
- Assist in defining the current reporting activities for the development of existing and future reporting procedures and models.
Acquisition & Deployment
- Assist in software releases and roll-outs and communication to the end users.
- Assist in hardware or software requirements needed for successful Enterprise Application deployments, configuration, or maintenance.
- Communicate reporting changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally or through written documentation – to management and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
Operational Management
- Handle incoming Service Desk requests to provide prompt and effective resolution for end user issues.
- Document all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information and nature of problem or issue.
- Prioritize and schedule problems. Escalate problem (when required) to the appropriately experienced technician.
- Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.
- Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
- Perform post-resolution follow ups to help requests.
- Develop help sheets and FAQ lists for end users.
- Reinforce SLAs to manage end-user expectations.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new processes, and other post-implementation support.
- Assist in conducting research and make recommendations on reporting tools, services, protocols, and standards in support of development efforts.
- Perform daily monitoring and troubleshooting of the Enterprise systems; assist in installing and configuring patches and upgrades as required.
Education and Experience:
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or minimum 5 years equivalent work experience.
- Application support experience with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and MS SQL.
- Power Platform development and management experience.
- Working knowledge with (not limited to) Microsoft Platform.
- Knowledge of Project Management Software like Autodesk construction cloud, Unifier, or Procore is an asset.
- Familiarity with the fundamental of collaboration Portal technologies such as SharePoint.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
