Summary/Objective:
To encourage and guide employees of Thrive Restaurant Group in reaching levels of proficiency necessary for self-sufficiency, career advancement, and financial independence.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma required with some college preferred. Experience in the hospitality or culinary field, preferably in a restaurant setting. Experience in social services, education, or related field desired. Must pass a background check and hold a valid driver’s license.

The ability to inspire and connect with individuals, motiving individuals to succeed, collect and document confidential information, detail-oriented, active listening, time management, and possess the desire and ability to serve individuals in need of guidance.

Essential Functions:
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to include possible evenings and/or weekends.
  • Maintain regular office hours based on a schedule agreed to by the partnership. This may include officing at multiple locations throughout the scheduled work week.
  • Assess participants’ academic and personal needs and barriers to determine appropriate support services.
  • Be flexible in adapting to participant differences and support needs.
  • Input, update, track and organize pertinent participant information, including (but not limited to) individuals served, services and materials provided, and goals set/reached.
  • Reply to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain quality and effectiveness regarding specified outcomes.
  • Participate in training, events, and activities that engage participants, prospective participants, and members of the community.
  • Assist with the health, welfare and safety of all participants and employees.
  • Interact appropriately with other employees and community professionals. 
  • Adhere to all safety policies and report violations.
  • Adhere to all ethical standards and confidentiality.
  • Support mission statement of Goodwill Industries of Kansas.
  • Support the accessibility of services and facilities free of architectural, attitudinal, environmental, financial, communication, transportation, employment, and other barriers to person with disabilities and barriers to employment.
  • Attend all meetings required of job i.e.: staff meetings, dept. meetings and safety meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
