Organization:

We are looking for a Receptionist to play a key role in furthering our mission in our Mission Services area.
Summary/Objective:
To provide service and support to the NexStep and Workforce Development staff and students with the overall responsibility of maintaining a high level of professionalism in administrative responsibilities. To welcome visitors and clients. To assist in supply inventory and dispersion. To provide information about NexStep Alliance to the public. Other assigned functions as deemed necessary by the Grant Compliance and Operations Manager. To fulfill mission statement
Education/Qualifications:
High School Diploma, Proficient in Microsoft office, experience with Excel and Word documents. MOS certified a plus. Availability to work some evenings. Must have a valid driver’s licenses and be insurable. Bilingual preferred but not required.
Experience/Special Skills & Knowledge:
Customer service experience. Computer and typing experience. Microsoft Office experience, including Microsoft Excel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Welcome all visitors, staff, students and clients
- Screen phone calls, emails and website inquiries and forward to the appropriate staff member
- Ability to effectively communicate and assist education and workforce development staff, students, parents and applicants on the telephone and/or in person
- Coordinate schedule with NexStep staff to ensure supplies are maintained
- Handle and distribute mail, emails and other communications to ensure smooth office operations
- Handling payments and accurately reconciling the cash drawer
- Ability to earn Pearson Vue and other pertinent certifications deemed necessary by the Grant Compliance and Operations Manager
- Assist with preparation for all NexStep and Workforce Development events, meetings and workshops
- Travel to other NexStep campuses to provide administrative support
- Ability to proctor the Kansas Board of Regents assessments
- Maintain order, organization and cleanliness of all common areas
- Maintain celebratory wall and assist with graduation preparation
