POSITION SUMMARY:
As the senior representative of the department, this position reports to the CEO, and works closely with senior management.  The measurement of success is recurring revenue growth.  This position is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategies for growth in terms of business development, awareness building and education, and account management. 
 
In addition, this individual will be a known for team building, have demonstrated performance in change leadership, and be an accomplished relationship builder.
 
The preferred candidate will have a history of sales leadership in the Heavy Truck parts industry or operational experience in large fleet management.  Direct experience in building service programs is preferred.
 
Demonstrated success in revenue growth, sales force management, new program introduction, sales planning, and promotion is expected.   
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participate in and support the principles of Open Book Management and recognize the responsibilities of being an owner of the company
  • Develop and oversee company and departmental long and short-term goals and strategies
  • Remain intimately familiar with competitors’ product offerings, customers and strategies
  • Identify and communicate the competitive advantages and core competencies of the company
  • Develop and Implement a sales process that:
    • Increases organic sales through existing customers
    • Identifies potential new customers and markets
    • Minimizes the selling cycle
  • Oversee all aspects of quoting, pricing, contract development and customer service & training
  • Create accurate methods of forecasting monthly revenue and provide a rolling 12-month sales outlook
  • Develop and maintain marketing plan. Gain feedback and input from all employees using buy-in process
  • Develop and present sales and marketing presentations twice annually
  • P&L budget responsibility for revenue, gross margin, and department expenses
  • Direct, plan, and implement policies, objectives, and activities that support the values and strategies of the organization
  • Coordinate with department heads to plan customer activities including but not limited to: training, trade shows, customers special needs or new business launch
  • Clearly communicate with executive team news, updates and changes to financials or customer accounts as they occur
  • Meet with employees, customers, suppliers, and other guests of the Company as required to build and promote relationships and grow sales
  • Required to follow safety standards. Required to wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas
  • Overnight travel of varying lengths may be required, at times with little notice. Need to be able to travel internationally on occasion
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
     
     
    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    Work is performed mostly in a controlled atmosphere.  Some exposure to harsh conditions for short periods of time is possible.
     
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk and hear. Sitting 80%, standing 10%, walking 10%. Ability to lift and carry 10-25 lbs. for short distances.
     
    MINIMUM SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITY/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Sales and Marketing, Business, Engineering or a related field is preferred
  • A minimum of five (5) years of previous experience in Sales or a related field is required
  • A minimum of three (3) years of management experience is required
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Must be able to make judgments and decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions
  • Good computer skills and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based programs are required
  • Superior presentation and analytical skills
  • Must be able to build a team and relationships with fellow employees and potential and current customers
  • High level of energy and motivation
