We are in search of a dynamic Harvest Assistant Winemaker for our 2021 harvest!

As a Harvest Assistant Winemaker you will work closely with the production Winemaker at Cline Family Cellars and Jacuzzi Family Vineyards.  You will have the opportunity to work with an extensive range of both Italian and French varietals and wine styles.  You will be working in all aspects of red and white winemaking alongside our experienced winemaking and Cellar Crew.  This is a hand-on role where your tasks will include  fruit sampling and evaluation, ferment monitoring and tasting, pump-overs, punch-downs, cleaning cellar equipment, assisting on the crush pad and presses, harvest additions, shoveling out tanks, filling barrels, cleaning tanks and data entry into Excel and Winery software.

We are looking for a person who has the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and bond with our established cellar team, apply critical thinking to their tasks and pay attention to detail to build quality into the production process.

The position will be from mid-August to mid-November 2021. Compensation is $21 per hour plus overtime at $31.50 per hour. Approximately 10+ hours of overtime per week will be required, including weekends, during the peak harvest season. You will need a reliable vehicle to visit vineyards and will be compensated for mileage.

  • Previous harvest, winery or production experience
  • College Degree/Winemaking Certificate or extensive wine industry experience.
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Wine sensory skills
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
  • Must be available to work from August through November
  • Available to work a varied schedule including overtime and weekends
  • Have a reliable vehicle for visiting Vineyards
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to climb stairs, stoop, bend, and lift.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work Outdoors
  • Must be over 21 yrs. old
  • Be eligible to work legally in the US
