2023 Seasonal Harvest Intern
Reports to: Production Winemaker & Assistant Winemaker


SUMMARY
We are in search of dynamic harvest interns for our 2023 harvest to join our team at Cline Family Cellars and Jacuzzi family Vineyards! This role will start early August with 40 hrs. a week increasing to 60+ hrs. during the peak of harvest September, through October to the beginning of November. Work will include evenings and weekends.

Wine industry experience is not required as long as the applicant has a desire to learn; Prior harvest or experience in related industries is preferred. Many opportunities to learn and grow in the wine industry and staff that enjoy sharing their knowledge.


As Harvest Intern you will have the unprecedented opportunity to work with a large range of both Italian Reds and Whites and French varietals and diverse styles including traditional California Style, Rhone style cool climate Syrah and Grenache, Cool climate Petaluma Gap Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

This is a hands-on position, you will be working in all aspects of red and white winemaking, including fruit sampling and evaluation, pump-overs, punch-downs, cleaning cellar equipment, assisting on the crush pad and presses, harvest additions, shoveling out tanks, filling barrels, cleaning tanks. Candidates with computer literacy may be offered record keeping and lab work later in harvest.

We are looking for people who have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and with our established cellar team, pay attention to detail and have the ability to perform repetitive tasks. There is accommodation at a nearby Vineyard available to rent for applicants from out of State. You will need a reliable vehicle to get to work and visit vineyards and will be compensated for mileage.


REQUIREMENTS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Must be available to work from mid-August through mid-November
  • Have a reliable vehicle for visiting Vineyards
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to climb stairs, stoop, bend, and lift.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work Outdoors
  • Must be over 21 yrs. old
  • Be eligible to work legally in the US
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills?
  • Previous harvest/winery or vineyard experience
  • College degree in Enology or Food Science.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Spanish proficiency

Pay Range: $19 - $22 (Depends On Experience)
