SUMMARY
We are seeking a Bottling Line Worker for general labor on the bottling line. All members of the team follow quality and safety related procedures; perform cleaning and sanitizing with minimum supervision. This position is regularly scheduled 7:00AM-5:30PM (10 hr) Monday – Thursday most of the year excluding harvest season.
During harvest (approximately August-November) this role assists in basic crush operations, such as pumpovers or filling wine barrels, cleaning and sanitation, and special projects as assigned by manager. Regularly scheduled hours for this portion of the year are 8 hours, 5 days/week with opportunity for overtime and weekend shifts.
Opportunities for training and education are frequently available and always encouraged.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in set up and clean-up of the bottling lines daily
- Rotates between various functions on the bottling line such as glass dumping, packing and bottle/label inspection
- Complete winery work orders and records accurately and promptly.
- Performs pumpovers, wine transfers (including racking, filling barrels, and blending)
- Helps to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient winery.
- Adheres to all safety practices and company policies
- Other tasks, in any department, as assigned by Management
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/OPPORTUNITIES FOR DEVELOPMENT
- Previous experience operating winery equipment is desirable
- Operates crush equipment during harvest
- Forklift Certification or capacity to be trained is beneficial
- Collect wine samples for laboratory analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule as needed, including extra hours during harvest
- High school diploma or GED
- Reading/Writing ability (English preferred), basic math and calculation skill
Physical Demands
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds over moderate distances.
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, crawl and walk.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
- Identify and distinguish colors.
- Ability to pull or push objects over moderate distances.
- Position environment is variable, Indoor/Outdoor environment. Areas may or may not be heated, air-conditioned, or shaded. Exposure to fumes and/or a variety of chemicals. Moderate to high noise levels typical of machinery, power tools, vehicles, and other equipment. Requires PPE such as facial covering, hearing protection and safety glasses (provided for all workers).
