SUMMARY
This entry-level position will assist in all crush operations, barrel work, wine movement, bottling preparation, cellar sanitation, cellar organization and special projects. This position may also assist the cellar maintenance team.

SUMMARY
This entry-level position will assist in all crush operations, barrel work, wine movement, bottling preparation, cellar sanitation, cellar organization and special projects. This position may also assist the cellar maintenance team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform most cellar operations; including equipment sanitation, wine movements, barrel work, topping.
- Complete winery work orders promptly and records information accurately.
- Collect wine samples for laboratory analysis.
- Helps to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient winery.
- Work shifts, overtime and weekends during harvest season - generally from August 1st to October 31st.
- Operate grape processing equipment including hoist, crusher/destemmer, conveyors and presses.
- Assists with bottling as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
- High school diploma or GED, basic math calculations.
- Able to work a flexible schedule as needed, including extra hours during harvest
- Capacity to learn how to perform winery tasks safely
- Ability to drive a forklift or become forklift operator certified preferred
- Capacity to drive a company vehicle preferred
Physical Demands
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds over moderate distances.
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, crawl and walk.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
- Ability to pull or push objects over moderate distances.
