POSITION SUMMARY
The primary focus of the Florida Area Sales Manager will be weekly account level engagement across Tampa, Sarasota, Orlando, Jacksonville and Pensacola top wine retailers, restaurants, hotels, clubs and resorts. Successful candidates should have a track record of existing account-level relationships in the Tampa / Orlando market.  70% of the Area Manager’s time is spent in the field calling on accounts.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & EXISTING SKILLS
  • Work independently and with wholesalers key account managers and sales representatives “on the street,” driving case volume and brand standard execution with each market’s chain and independent accounts in both on and off-premise.
  • Write a weekly pre-plan and weekly account call recap and submit weekly to Eastern VP Division Manager.
  • Candidates must be able to produce compelling and creative general sales meeting presentations to help educate our partners on our brands, upcoming marketing initiatives, new items, etc.
  • Achieve annual depletion, profit & brand standards in the Florida market.
  • Communicate with and assist in course correcting of our business trends with senior leaders within our distributors.
  • Manage distributor inventory levels to avoid out of stock issues and to ensure execution of major marketing programs and national & regional account placements.
  • Participate in trade and consumer tastings for our key accounts in the markets.
  • Travel and Expense Reports - must be submitted twice per month on the Cline Cellars Expense Report and within your allotted T&E budget. 
  • Overnight travel is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Supplier Representative preferred or minimum 5 years large wine distributor management experience.
  • Have experience in the On-Premise channel, including key hotel, catering and convention accounts – as well as the ability to present to the highest level of chef and sommelier-managed restaurant wine programs.
  • Candidates with established relationships with on premise regional & national account buyers will receive extra consideration in the interview process. 
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Have excellent presentation, public speaking and computer skills.
  • Proficient in VIP/iDig, Diver, Micro-Strategy, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver license and proof of valid automobile insurance.

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist and squat on occasion.
  • Drive for two to three hours at a time.

This is a salaried full-time position, with a competitive compensation package that will include an annual bonus opportunity, automobile allowance, company phone and technology plan, matching 401k program upon qualification, and eligibility for company health and wellness benefits upon qualification.

Salary Range: $105,000 - $115,000/year (Depending on Experience)
