SUMMARY
The Senior Staff Accountant position requires a detail oriented, highly motivated and resourceful individual to succeed on our team. Duties include performing a variety of accounting tasks and applying generally accepted accounting principles to the preparation and maintenance of accounting records. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Management and monthly reconciliation of Prepaids and Deposits accounts.
  • Monthly analysis and reconciliation of bottling materials inventory accounts.
  • Coordination of grape and olive activity with production teams and prepare payment streams.
  • Manage fixed asset acquisitions, disposals and related depreciation expense.
  • Monthly cost allocations between departments as well as intercompany.
  • Filing of federal and state excise taxes as well as state sales and use tax and occupancy tax.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly related party loans and provide year end documentation.
  • Develop and prepare additional balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years’ experience in a relevant role in the wine industry.
  • Experience with ERP business management software (Microsoft Dynamics Navision) strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organization, time management and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work cohesively with others and have a strong attention to detail and follow through.
  • Experience with Jet Reporting, Power BI or another analytical tool is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office experience required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to sit for long periods, bend, twist, squat and lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion.
  • Must satisfactorily pass the pre-employment physical, drug and background screening process.
  • Fine motor skills needed for frequent computer usage.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000/annually (Depends on Experience)
