We are a home health agency searching for an ideal candidate to join our corporate finance department. 

Position Objective
  • Responsible for billing for all MCO/MLTC Accounts.
  • Verify benefits and set up correct payer codes in computer system for all new admissions.
  • Effective management of the accounts receivable, credit and collections process.

Responsibilities and Duties 
  1. Establish and maintain complete patient/client financial files.  Review patient/client financial files to assure accuracy of data, proper billing format, and completeness of all required administrative and clinical documentation. 
  2. Responsible for assuring timely completion and release of all billing transmissions/EDI files per the weekly/monthly billing schedule.
  3. Responsible for assisting with electronic ERA payment posting batches when necessary.
  4. Responsible for assuring timely verification of patient’s benefits for all primary/secondary payer sources prior to the patient/clients admission to include the identification of specific benefit’s covered/non-covered, policy limitations, required clinical documentation and specific billing requirements by payor source. 
  5. Must also verify benefits bi-monthly for all active Medicaid/MLTC patients and/or private insurances and Medicare Clients. 
  6. Manage credit and collections process and is responsible for effective accounts receivable management.
  7. Other duties as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field. The candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of billing/payroll and systems experience, preferably in a health care environment.   Candidate must have basic computer skills and be proficient in data entry.

Experience in home health care environment and Medicare billing experience is required. Experience handling TPL billing and Home Care Home Base software experience are a plus.

  • Pay Range: $55,000 to $75,000
