Able Health Care Service is looking to fill an administrative staff position.
The Intake Coordinator ensures proper and accurate processing and maintenance of all patient intake throughout the company. Responsible for all payer information to corporate billing department for insurance coverage verification (i.e. EMEVS, HIQA, TRW/D&B, insurance carriers, appropriate split bill cases, primary payor source. Responsible for obtaining initial authorizations and provide on-going follow up and contact for all cases in an accurate, effective and timely manner.

  1. Exchanges information with the caller, probes to identify expressed and implied clinical and support needs and determines the Agency’s ability to meet the caller’s needs. Records outcomes of every inquiry/intake call received. Makes follow-up calls as required to physician, case manager, and/or discharge planner when further information is required to start care.
  2. Works in conjunction with the Billing department and DON to identify all potential payer sources from managed care & insurance companies. Assists in documenting complete and accurate patient demographic, clinical and payer information to assure services are initiated and planned appropriately in conjunction with the payer/case manager.
  3. Functions as a customer service representative in all interactions with caregivers and in-office employees. Has knowledge of and adheres to all company policies associated with data integrity maintenance and confidentiality.
  4. Responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with referral sources, community resources and the patients/clients/families. Participates when requested, in local professional organization activities to stay current with developments and to promote the Company in the marketplace.
  5. All other duties as needed.

Qualifications
The candidate for this position will have a High School Diploma/GED. Associate degree preferred. A minimum of three years’ job-related experience in a home care setting. Experience working in a multi-application clinical reimbursement system is a must.   

Pay
  • Annually $35,000 - $40,000
  • Leave time includes Paid Time Off, Sick and paid holidays
