Legacy Dodge in Taber, Alberta is looking for an experienced full time Service Manager to steer our relentless team of automotive problem solvers & educators.
The Service Manager will be responsible for the operations of the Service Department. The Service Advisors and technicians, specifically. This support to the team is offered by leading by example and providing the utmost superb customer service, providing hospitality beyond all of our competitors, and ensuring the ease of flow through the service write up, follow up, and the completion process. Assisting and guiding the technicians to ensure productivity and efficiency is maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the Service Department in day-to-day operations from Lot Attendants, Service Advisors, Technicians etc.
- Ensuring that data is correct in PBS and Dealerconnect in order for customers to receive the survey.
- Ensuring that dispatch is managed and done efficiently.
- Ensuring warranty submission is done daily, performing warranty claims and submitting for payment, assisting advisors with their warranty claims.
- Ensuring technicians are productive and efficient, setting targets with the technicians, and tracking and monitoring daily hours
- Following all OHS rules and regulations as well as AMVIC compliance
Duties will include but are not limited:
- Ensure customers are greeted within 30 seconds of walking into the service and parts area
- Assist service advisors with questions & concerns regarding customer information, vehicle information, maintenance schedules, routine maintenance & repairs, promise times and expectations, technical help to the best ability.
- Seeking out new business opportunities, building relationships with customers.

- Chrysler Experience in an automotive dealership service department experience a strong asset
- Working knowledge of industry standards/practices, including product details & services offered
- PBS experience preferred but will train
- Ability to train, coach, direct, & encourage service team members
- Ability to provide expert advice to customers regarding the care and service of their vehicles
- A positive attitude and a strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- A valid driver's license is required
