Come work for Big Language Solutions as a VoIP Support/Telecom Engineer!

Come work for Big Language Solutions Telecommunications team! This is a remote role that supports the VoIP infrastructure and would require remotely working during Pacific Standard Time (PDT) business hours and may require airline travel within the domestic United States to work in data center or call centers.

The right candidate would assist with support and projects while working with different departments and vendors to improve performance and reliability.

Please note: All employees are expected to dedicate scheduled hours to Language Link/BIG Language and use of company time, materials, equipment or proprietary information for other companies is not permitted.

Required Experience & Abilities:

  • 2 years VoIP support experience with SIP Signaling (SIP Stack), TLS/SRTP and QoS
  • 2 years of Networking experience including routers, Firewalls, VLANs, and basic port provisioning.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge and experience with commercial or cloud API.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL, Azure, Hyper-V administration, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
  • 4 years minimum experience with Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Excel, Word, and Visio.
  • Ability to multi-task and complete projects while handling daily user provisioning and solving trouble tickets in a timely manner.
  • Able to work in a team-based environment, and to communicate well with department management, with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to work or be on call during business affecting outages, emergencies, or mandatory upgrades including weekends, nights (late AM hours) and/or holidays, as necessary.
  • Capability to perform under pressure to restore 24/7 emergency and medical related communications which may involve intensive data analytics, use of capturing tools and excellent written and verbal skills for communication.
  • Able to travel to datacenters or other locations for upgrades, repair, and other various tasks.

Desired Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience with Twilio VoIP Cloud development and administration.
  • Cisco Networking products
  • SSCA or other 3rd party SIP certification.
  • Network Monitoring Systems.
  • Experience with supporting Microsoft Teams and ACS.
  • Proficient with API communication protocols and design.
  • 2 or more years post high school education PREFERRED NOT REQUIRED

Job duty requirements:

Valid driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance when requested.

High school diploma required.
