Job Title: Spanish Medical Interpreter (On-Site)

Location: Springfield, MO and surrounding areas, including Kansas City, Columbia, and St. Louis, Missouri

Employment Type: Contract / Freelance

Service Type: On-Site Interpreting

Compensation: $50–$80 per hour (based on experience)

Overview

We are currently seeking qualified Spanish Medical Interpreters to support on-site interpreting services across multiple locations in Missouri, including Springfield, Kansas City, Columbia, and St. Louis. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced interpreters who are passionate about facilitating clear and accurate communication in healthcare settings.

We are looking to onboard 2 Spanish interpreters per city to support ongoing and upcoming assignments.

Key Responsibilities

Provide accurate, complete, and confidential on-site interpretation between Spanish and English in medical settings
Facilitate communication between healthcare providers and Spanish-speaking patients
Maintain professionalism, neutrality, and confidentiality at all times
Adhere to medical interpreting standards and ethical guidelines
Arrive on time and be prepared for scheduled assignments

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of medical interpreting experience required
Fluency in Spanish and English, both spoken and understood at a professional level
Strong understanding of medical terminology in both languages
Excellent listening, memory retention, and communication skills
Ability to work on-site in Springfield, Kansas City, Columbia, St. Louis, or nearby areas
Professional demeanor and cultural competency

Preferred Qualifications

Medical Interpreter certification (CCHI, NBCMI, or equivalent) preferred
Previous experience in hospitals, clinics, or healthcare environments
Reliable transportation and flexibility for on-site assignments
