Luxe is a small boutique hotel chain in the Los Angeles area. Our Sunset Boulevard Location is completing an extensive physical renovation, which, combined with operational improvements, is taking the property to the next level. 

Primary Objective:
The night auditor will act as hotel system liaison during night hours and perform all GSR functions as required; Assist in booking room reservations; answering hotel phone calls and notifying guests of messages. 
 
Areas of Responsibility: 

 
  • Meets and exceeds guest and co-workers expectations by providing service and teamwork.
    • Provides value added service to the guests by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to meet or exceed guest expectations.
    • Communicates effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors.
    • Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed.
    • Handles difficult situations effectively.
  • Verifies and balances daily charges for all departments to guest folios, master accounts, house accounts, and makes corrections as necessary.
  • Balances the room audits with the night summary.
    • Assumes responsibility for overall security of guests, hotel personnel, and property by working closely with graveyard security.
    • Oversees emergency operation to insure guest safety and minimize losses and liability.
    • Takes corrective action during an emergency, then files appropriate report to supervisor.
    • Will get in contact with General Manager for any fire, bomb threat, burglary or death that occurs on property.
  • Provides General Manager and department managers with summary of activities completed during shrift by preparing and a distributing written daily log.
    • Runs computer through nightly processing sequence to reset for next day’s use.
  • Audits food and beverage income postings and charges.
    • Records and balances all food and beverage income.
    • Balances the guest ledger postings to the restaurant audit guest ledger.
    • Records and balances staff and house charges.
    • Audits all banquet tickets before postings, verifying the accuracy of the calculations and attaching the latest event order.
  • Reviews all credit card vouchers for proper imprints, authorizations and correct amounts.
    •  Prepares and transmits credit card deposits.
    •  Processes all city ledger work to accounting
    •  Prints separate calculator tapes for designated categories of work.
    •  Organizes and dates the work for processing.
  • Deal with individual and group arrivals in accordance with all aspects as related to the check in procedure.
  • Ensure that individual and group departures are in accordance with pre-arranged method of payment.
  • Competent in the handling of authorized forms of payment and the processing of all foreign currency transactions.
  • Possess product knowledge of all the room types, room positioning, current rates and all facilities and services within the hotel and be able to offer and sell them to the guest when required.
  • Comply with Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel’s regulation when completing internal banking procedures ensuring that the banking figures are correct and all back-up documentation is attached. 
  • Complete a thorough handover all arrivals/departures/special requests etc. before ending shift.
  •      Maintain reception desk and the general reception area in a neat and tidy manner at  all times.
  •  Knowledgeable of all hotel facilitates.
  •  Knowledgeable of the Los Angeles area and assist guest with directions if needed.
  •  Able to make and confirm reservations whether for the hotel or otherwise.
  •  Deal effectively and courteously with unhappy and complaining guests.
  •  Operate the switchboard when required.
  •  Be familiar with all security and evacuation procedures.
  •  Keeps supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters of significance.
  •  Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures.
    • Attends work as scheduled.
    • Follows hotel’s dress and grooming standards.
    • Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.

Shift Schedule: Graveyard 11:00 pm- 7:00 am (4 days a week) 
       Fridays and Saturdays will be worked at 360 North Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, CA
       Sundays and Mondays will be worked at 11461 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA

Requirements:
 
  • Previous customer service experience is required
  • Pushing/Pulling: Average weight 30lbs constantly
  •  Lifting/Carrying: Average weight 30lbs constantly .
  • Experience with OPERA experience is required.
  • Previous experience in a similar position or within a hotel preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Guest service oriented demeanor is required. Candidate should be willing to go above and beyond for our guests and have a professional, positive attitude.
  • Excellent phone and computer skills.
  • Ability to work overnight on a full time basis.
  • Ability to read and speak English.
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred.
