Job Description
The Director of Human Resources reports to the President and is responsible for
 strategic planning, regulatory compliance and reporting, and the design, implementation, maintenance, communication, and administration of all Hotel HR policies and procedures for Luxe hotels and its Affiliates.  

Areas of Accountability:
  • Leads efforts to maintain and carry out the brand culture throughout the organization
  • Oversee payroll process
  • Responsible for creating, implementing and communicating all HR workflows, processes, SOPs, and policies across all business functions including but not limited to those related to recruiting, on-boarding, retention, performance management, employee relations, compensation, leave administration and off-boarding of employees
  • Review current HR processes and reporting and suggest revisions to streamline and implement changes. Always challenge existing processes given new HR technologies and innovation
  • Responsible for preparing filings, reporting, and notice requirements in compliance with  Federal, State and local regulations including local labor laws, compensation, benefits, Equal Employment Opportunities and Affirmative Action laws
  • Establish salary structures, develop salary budget, and prepare policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation.
  • Review, revise, and analyze current benefits and recommend changes and maintain competitive benefits in the market
  • Oversee health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k), and other company benefit plans and programs including audits and reporting
  • Work closely with the leadership to identify business areas of employee engagement which can include staffing, training, coach and counsel, recognition programs, etc.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, Master’s degree preferable.
  • A minimum of five years' HR operations, compensation, benefits and HRIS experience at the management level.
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Labor relations experience preferred

Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Professional certification such as SPHR, PHR, CEP or related advanced degree desirable.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal and state laws, local ordinances, and regulations governing labor laws and compensation and benefits required.
  • Experience working with HR and payroll systems as well as other technologies and tools related to HR management,compensation and benefits administration
  • Self-starter with strong organization skills, detail orientation, and demonstrated ability to multi-task in a busy fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a closely held private company reporting to an owner
