Position: Beverage Manager

Accountable To: Director of Food & Beverage

Primary Objective:
Supports the Food and Beverage Outlets(Room Service, Luxe Lounge, Restaurant, Seasonal Pool Bar) in addition to banquet bars to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction and that financial goals are met.

Areas of Accountability:
  • Manage beverage purchasing, beverage menu designing, marketing of new products, and VIP customer requests.
  • Manage all FOH positions, including scheduling, developing, and coaching employees, motivating the team, and continuing to drive sales.
  • Lead bartenders in everyday functions and assist with inventory control.
  • Utilize POS system to accurately charge customers, track revenue reports and ensure timeliness of food and beverage.
  • Participate in the selection, design, development of new POS system and are in charge of weekly inventory.
  • Review financial transactions such as the budget and payroll records to ensure the weekly expenditures are accounted for and authorized.
  • Handle other administrative tasks such as facilitation of payroll, reports, inventory, and budget for food and beverage functions.
  • Train bartenders and restaurant managers.
  • Create an illustrate process, which promotes continuity for timely and accurate vendor ordering procedures for all management staff.
  • Communicate FOH service observations to management and partners.
  • Conceptualize and implement new concepts including menus and marketing plan.
 
  • Creates and communicates training tools to ensure the highest level of service understanding and ability amongst associates.
  • Ensures positive associate relations through open communication.
  • Responds quickly to associate and guest requests or complaints in a friendly manner and takes appropriate action. Follows up to ensure satisfaction.
  • Implements standard operation procedures to improve beverage cost.
  • Demonstrate and enforce high standards of appearance and grooming.
  • Attentive, helpful, and friendly to all customers, guests, managers and fellow employees.
  • Works with Director of Food and Beverage to create appropriate promotions to drive Beverage Outlet revenues.
  • Prepares and audits Beverage requisitions and returns to ensure proper cash handling and pouring controls are adhered to.
  • Assures that all hourly associates are provided prescribed appropriate rest and meal breaks with a “hands on” approach.
  • Consistently monitors and makes recommendations on eliminating unnecessary overtime by being “on the floor.”
  • Keeps supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters of significance.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures.
    • Attends work as scheduled.
    • Follows hotel’s dress and grooming standards.
    • Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
  • At all times, projects a favorable image of Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel to the public.
