Primary Objective:

Grow existing accounts and generate new business to ensure that room revenues meet or exceed budget in order to maximize profits and improve hotel’s performance in the marketplace.

Areas of Accountability:

  • Oversee all areas of Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Public Relations
  • Perform against assigned annual goals for both the individual and team(s)
  • Achieve annual targets as it pertains to STR performance for the hotel(s)
  • Develop strategies to increase revenue share from competitors and meet hotel revenue goals.
  • Plan, organize, oversee and participate in trade shows and conferences to effectively promote the Hotel.
  • Coordinate all sales and catering solicitations to most efficiently generate revenue, maximize overall profits, cost savings and productivity.
  • Implement sales incentive plan and goal setting processes, market segmentation reports, revenue management reports, pace reports and tentative group meetings.
  • Develop and maintain market awareness and achieve revenue opportunities. Initiate proactive strategies.
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic return on investment per account.
  • Develop and establish annual marketing plan and financial budget.
  • Develop networking opportunities through active participation in community and professional associations and events.
  • Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program.
  • Meet and greet on site contacts, entertain when necessary
  • Conduct a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotel with clients, exhibiting key features and benefits of the property.
  • Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within the assigned market segments. Suggest strategic adjustments accordingly.
  • React to negative trends in the market place by introducing blitzes or promotions.
  • Handle inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Administer and ensure timely completion of all sales activities.
  • Planning and executing sales calls, including preplanning, setting appointments and executing sales calls.
  • Contribute to preparation of the annual revenue budget.
  • Contribute to preparation of the annual Marketing Plan.
  • Use the computerized forms and templates to manage the hotel’s business, including (but not limited to) generating reports, creating group contracts, making reservations and opening new accounts.
  • Develop quarterly sales action plans and review with General Manager.
  • Prepare required reports in a timely manner.
  • Prepare, attend and participate in morning revenue management meetings.
  • Prepare, attend and participate in weekly sales meetings.
  • Prepare, attend and participate in Sales and Service Meetings to update department managers on sales business and update sales department on sales related hotel issues.
  • Attend additional meetings/training as required by management.
  • Alert management of training needs or new approaches to improve performance results.
  • Follows labor and safety standards.
  • Interview, hire, train, develop, conduct performance evaluations, resolve problems and recommend discipline and/or termination for staff members.
  • Perform other duties as requested from management.
  • Keeps team fully informed of all problems or matters of significance.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures.
  • Attends work as scheduled.
  • Follows hotel’s dress and grooming standards.
  • Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
  • At all times, projects a favorable image of Luxe Hotels to the public.
