Role Summary
Join our team as a Pastry Cook for the Mayflower Inn & Spa, serving the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.

Core Responsibilities
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done  Within the Auberge family, our leaders our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Mix and bake ingredient to produce bread, rolls, cookies, cakes, pies, pastries, or other baked goods.
  • Ensure proper storage of food items not used, following all proper standards for refrigeration and storage.
  • Supervise, operate, maintain, and properly clean all kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure that sanitation standards as set forth by local, state & federal Health Department regulations are in compliance as well as the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and its equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain the use of safe food handling procedures as well as a safe working environment by using correct food handling skills and food safety guidelines.
  • Maintain and supervise neat professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules at all times.

Required Qualifications

  • Two years’ experience in a similar role. Preferred.
  • Culinary Certificate or Degree. Preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
