Role Summary

Directs   and   organizes   the   day   to   day   activities   of   the   Food   and   Beverage   Department   to   maintain  high standards of food and beverage quality, service, maximize profits and guest satisfaction. Seeks   out   business   within   the  community    and   drives   the   demand   for  the    Food   &   Beverage   revenue  centers. As   a   leader   in   the   Food   &   Beverage   Department,   he/she   will  create    an  atmosphere   of   recognition    for  locals and hotel guests alike. 

Core Responsibilities

Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Work  with the F&B team in the planning   of   the   Food   and   Beverage   Department   to   meet   the  daily needs of the operation. 
  • Develop,   implement   and   monitor   schedules   for   the   operation   of   all   restaurants   and   bars   to   achieve   a  profitable result.  
  • Participate   with   the   Chef   in   the   creation   of   attractive   menus   designed   to   attract  a predetermined customer market. 
  • Ensure effective control of  beverage and labor costs among a ll sub-departments.  
  • Assist   all   team   members   in   achieving   predetermined   profit   objectives   and   desired   standards   of  service, cleanliness, merchandising and promotion. 
  • Regularly   review   and   evaluate   the   degree   of   customer   satisfaction  of    the   food   &   beverage   revenue  centers.  
  • Continuously   evaluate   the   performance   and   encourage   improvement   of   the   team   members   in   the  food   and   beverage   department.   Plan   and   administer   a   training   and   development   program   within   the  department,   which   will   provide   well-trained   employees   at   all   levels   and   permit   advancement   for  those persons qualified and interested in career development. 
  • Participate   in   Manager   On   Duty  coverage    requiring   constant   monitoring   throughout   the   hotel   and  trouble shooting problems.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s   Degree   in   field   or   equivalent   College   Degree   required.   Culinary,   sales   and   service  background required.  
    Previous   experience   as   a   Food   &   Beverage   Manager   of   a   high   end   restaurant   or   group   and   hotel  experience preferred
  • TIPS Certified 
  • Food Handlers certification mandatory  
  • First Aid training preferred
