Role Summary
Work in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced, guest-centric environment to provide a dining experience to guests which distinguishes our restaurant as being the unquestionable first-choice. Demonstrate exceptional hospitality and guest service at our busy welcome desk. Manage phones and reservations, strategic seating of guests, addressing guest desires with positive semantics and a commitment to accommodate requests. Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this position are:
- The Host/Hostess is responsible for providing superior guest service that is consistent with Auberge standards.
- All duties and assignments are to be performed according to departmental and Mattei’s policy and procedure.
- Greeting and seating guests.
- Assisting guests with reservations via phone and in person.
- Assisting Managers with table management to maximize seating.
- Assisting guests with special requests.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate in English fluently and in a professional manner
- Exhibit phone etiquette, organizational skills, basic computer knowledge (incl. reservations management system) and food/wine service knowledge.
- Requires the ability to multitask, work efficiently and within a team environment.
- Must be available to work all shifts; to include day, swing, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Responsible Beverage certification
- ServSafe certification or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year work experience as a host person in a high-end restaurant is preferred.
$18.00/hour plus tips
