LPN Memory Care (Anderson Memory Care)

Anderson at Summerfield is a stand alone 36 unit memory care community. We are looking for a part time nurse for 8 hour night  shifts, 7pm to 3am. Pay rate starting at $24/Hr. Weekend shift differential available.

We are looking for reliable, compassionate LPN's to care for our memory care residents in a professional and considerate manner. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. .

Responsibilities

• Record resident medical history accurately utilizing electronic medical records systems
• Observe treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
• Monitor resident condition and assist in composition of care plans and needs
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with residents’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and instructions

Skills

• Proven experience as LPN or similar role in an assisted living community or long-term care facility
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work within a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with computerized EMARs required 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and able to calmly handle stressful situations
• Experience with dementia/memory loss preferred but not required
• Successful completion of LPN license program. Licensure in LA required.

This is a non-management position
This is a part time position
Pay Range: $24 to $27 per hour
