Come work in our award-winning Assisted Living Community.  Summerfield of Hammond is looking for dedicated and compassionate CNA's to provide the highest standard of care excellence to our residents. Work each day in a unique, rewarding environment with a culture that values teamwork and support and room for growth.  We are currently hiring  for  Part Time, 3pm to 11pm shift, WEEKENDS ONLY.  Base Rate $12.00 to $14.00 hourly with a Shift Differential on the weekends.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting residents with ADL's and various forms of daily care according to their specific needs
• Monitor and document vital signs per policy
• Assist in maintaining resident care records by documenting timely and appropriately in the electronic record system
• Provide companionship and positive interaction daily with residents
• Work with other departments to provide a full scope of care to our residents daily

Skills

• CPR certification
• Ability to take vital signs, document and report to nursing staff as applicable
• Prior experience in working with geriatric population if preferred
• Physical ability to walk, stand, bend and lift
• Must be able to socially interact with with resident in a compassionate and meaningful manner
• Dependability, punctuality and good work ethic is an absolute must  

Pay rate

Base rate $12.00 to $14.00 hourly with a Shift Differential on the weekends
