Malliouhana, on the Caribbean island of Anguilla, has been part of Auberge Resorts Collection since November 2014. The legendary winter destination for the jet-set crowd is known for its iconic location high over Meads Bay and Turtle Cove and sweeping 360-degree views of the Caribbean. 63 rooms and suites blend the warmth and gracious hospitality of the Caribbean with stylish spaces that create a sense of togetherness. An all new toes-in-the-sand restaurant, Leon’s at Meads Bay, joins Celeste and Bar Soleil overlooking white-sand beaches, along with the iconic two-tiered infinity swimming pool and new Spa at Malliouhana. The resort also offers two over-the-top Villas, the five-bedroom Kishti on Meads Villa West and the six-bedroom Kishti on Meads Villa East featuring personalized service right on the sands of Meads Bay, including a private villa manager, butler, chef and VIP resort access.

Role Summary
Become one of the authors of our story.  Join our team as Food and Beverage Director at Malliouhana, Anguilla.  As part of the Auberge family, you will serve the needs of the business, our guests, and your fellow team members by leading the Food & Beverage operation of the hotel.  The Food & Beverage Director is responsible for ensuring that visitors to the hotel are delighted by the quality, creativity and variety of our food and beverage offerings, and that our culinary reputation is second to none in our local market.

Core Responsibilities
  • Be curious about the latest in food and beverage styling and design
  • Be aware of competitor offerings in the local market
  • Be an ambassador of Malliouhana, reach out in the community to foster relationships, market the food & beverage aspects of the hotel, and be present in the outlets for continual feedback and areas for improvement
  • Attend guest and official functions as a representative of the executive team.
  • Be aware of the best external competitor offerings in the local market, and continually work to improve our own offerings with the goal of being the best in the market
  • Participate in preparation of the hotel's strategic and marketing plans.  Prepare the Food and Beverage Department budget
  • Ensure that all Food & Beverage Standards are being adhered to
  • Oversee all Restaurants, Culinary and Catering areas, ensuring a smooth running, profitable operation within the Hotel
  • Remain personally responsible for maximizing quality levels of product and service, and guest satisfaction
  • Supervise and coordinate pricing and preparation of menus, beverage, and wine lists, and liaise with local suppliers
  • Develop and supervise all F&B employees, delivering motivational and inspirational daily rallies
  • Liaise with talent & culture on selection, orientation, performance management, coaching, and total rewards to ensure a positive work environment and team member retention
  • Identify training needs and develop and deliver the required training for departmental employees
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs
  • Ability to enforce resort’s standards, policies and procedures; prioritize and organize work assignments; delegate work and follow-up as necessary to receive desired result
  • Ability to work well under pressure of meeting production schedules and deliver quality food in all areas
Required Qualifications
  • Five or more years’ operating experience in Food & Beverage operations 
  • Experience in maintaining state and federal health and safety regulations
  • Proven experience in driving a profitable operation
  • Strong administrative skills, to include, reporting, budgeting, project management
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal English communication skills; computer literate.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience curating and executing creative events in a variety of settings
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations and remain calm.
  • Positive, honest, and energetic work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field
