About Malliouhana, Auberge Resorts Collection
Malliouhana, on the Caribbean Island of Anguilla, has been part of Auberge Resorts Collection since November 2014. The legendary winter destination for the jet-set crowd is known for its iconic location high over Meads Bay and Turtle Cove and sweeping 360-degree views of the Caribbean. 63 rooms and suites blend the warmth and gracious hospitality of the Caribbean with stylish spaces that create a sense of togetherness. An all new toes-in-the-sand restaurant, Leon’s at Meads Bay, joins Celeste and Bar Soleil overlooking white-sand beaches, along with the iconic two-tiered infinity swimming pool and new Spa at Malliouhana. Role Summary
A Guest Services Agent/Bellman is a key representative of our hotel and the Auberge Resorts Collection Brand. He or she creates one of the most powerful first impressions to our guests. Auberge Resort Collection Guest Services Agent/Bellman all have a friendly and outgoing personality, and are genuinely interested in meeting and serving new guests from all over the world.
Core Responsibilities
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Malliouhana employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
To anticipate guest needs and handle guest inquiries in a helpful and attentive Malliouhana manner.
To participate in the effective day to day operations of at the Bell Service desk
To have a complete knowledge of the hotel product, including room types, rates, relative features and facilities, food and beverage outlets and promotions, spa services, and the other Auberge Resorts Collection properties.
To ensure the lobby area is clean and tidy at all times.
To greet and acknowledge all guests, welcoming them in a polite and friendly manner.
Assist guests with their luggage, and provide a luggage storage service for guests.
To coordinate delivery of messages and other items to the guest’s room.
To assist guests who require special assistance.
Complete all other shift duties as outlined on the shift checklist.
To assist in ensuring that the transportation arrangements of the hotel work perfectly, including the coordination of taxis, private vehicles, limousines and other vehicles.
To take personal responsibility for the service and attitude with which our guest service is being delivered, and ensure it meets the highest standard of Malliouhana at all times.
To be proactive and innovative, suggesting alternatives that meet guest needs in enjoying their Malliouhana experience.
To attend hotel events, daily shift briefings and training to improve professional skills.
Assist all other areas of the hotel when required.
To be proactive and innovative, suggesting alternatives that meet guest needs in enjoying their Malliouhana experience.
To perform any other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and spelling, with guests and team members, both in person and by telephone.
Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision.
Ability to interact in a polite, professional, and engaging manner with guests and team members.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
Ability to think clearly and remain calm under pressure and in stressful situations.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum one (1) year experience in the same or similar role.
Experience in a luxury hotel is preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
