The Medical Records Clerk maintains medical records in accordance with federal and state guidelines, as well as facility policies and procedures, to ensure that a complete medical records program is maintained.

We can work with your scheduling needs:
  • 8 hour shifts

What you will need to be a part of our EPIC team:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of related experience, with a working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.  
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must be thorough and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel. 
  • Good computer skills; experience with electronic medical records desired.

How you will help people every day:
  • Maintain current records of all residents admitted/discharged by the facility in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain hard copy and electronic records of resident admissions, discharges, census, and various other data, as directed by the Administrator or Director of Nursing.
  • Audit resident charts for compliance. 
  • Maintain current knowledge of medical records practices and procedures, governing rules, regulations and state survey standards.
  • Attend and participate in continuing education and in-service programs.
  • Follow federal and state skilled nursing facilities regulations and department policies and procedures, as well as HIPPA related regulations.
