You will be responsible for treating and educating staff and patients, directing patient care, and maintaining accurate patient records. This is a full-time position with full benefits.  

How you will help people every day:
  • Assess resident conditions and provide direction for care and treatment plans.
  • Propose treatments and care plans in collaboration with physicians.
  • Accurately record resident observations in clinical records.
  • Advise and educate residents and/or responsible persons regarding their health conditions and prescribed medications, and/or changes in medications and treatment plans.
  • Consult, direct, and document emergency care of residents, and assist in communications to physicians, responsible persons, administrative staff, or other appropriate personnel.
  • Follow all federal and state skilled nursing facilities regulations and nursing policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA related regulations.

What you will need to be part of our EPIC team:
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing Nurse Practitioner program with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, or higher, with at least 3 to 5 years of related experience.
  • Current license to practice as an RN in Michigan, including a valid Nurse Practitioner license; current CPR-BLS certification. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, and all nursing personnel. 
  • A high level of analytical abilities in order to prepare resident care plans, propose effective nursing care, and develop solutions to difficult problems concerning residents' mental and physical well-being.
  • Strong computer skills; experience with electronic medical charting.
