An EPIC opportunity for a Dietetic Tech or candidate holding a Bachelors in Dietetics who wants to learn more in the food service management and clinical nutrition area in long term care. We will pay for CDM certification for the right candidate
The Dietary Manager plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the dietary department in accordance with current state, federal, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. This position is responsible for ensuring that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the dietary department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
This position will also train with the Registered Dietician and assist in assessing and developing and directing the overall nutrition plan of care for each guest. An important aspect of this position is collaborating with and encouraging guests and families to participate in the development of care plans. Additionally, this role continually studies emerging trends and stays current on new research related to the practice of dietetics and educates the culinary staff on pertinent topics related to human nutrition and culinary service.

How you will help people every day:
- Work with the dietitian to provide quality nutritional services.
- Ensure that appropriate levels of food supplies are available.
- Order supplies in a cost-effective and cost-efficient manner, as needed.
- Ensure equipment is maintained appropriately and, in conjunction with the Administrator, order replacement equipment, as necessary.
- Develop and administer the department budget.
What you will need to be part of our EPIC team:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition (must be accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics). OR - Desire to become clinical Certified Dietary Manager - will pay for CDM certification for the right candidate
- 3+ years of related leadership experience in a food service department; experience in a long term or health care facility preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures as well the laws, regulations and guidelines governing dietary functions in nursing care facilities.
