Job Summary/Description
The Naval Engineering Intern will provide support for a wide array of ongoing projects including hydromechanics simulation software, hydrodynamics research, marine systems prototyping, design science, innovative ship design, and deep learning for autonomy. Interns will use a variety of software packages and tools such as in-house hydrodynamics codes, CAD, and commercial RANS CFD to develop solutions to ongoing areas of tasking within the company.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work both independently and in a team setting to apply naval architecture and marine engineering knowledge to non-traditional problems.
  • Conduct research on emerging fields of interest to the Navy.
  • Use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for purpose of processing data and helping generate presentations.
  • Use a variety of software packages for CAD including Solidworks, Rhino, and AutoCad.
Qualification/Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ Years of College
  • Experience with Various Software Applications including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to present results in a clear and precise manner
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States 


This position is located in Portland, Maine. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing an employee background check and post-offer drug screen.
