Job Summary/General Description:   
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with a focus on power electronics, distributed system design, energy storage systems, or power system controls. Must be willing to work on a range of projects including: basic and applied research, ships, submarines, autonomous vehicles, and electrical grids.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Investigate new science and technology.
  • Research and development through problem identification, requirements definition, new theory development, analysis, and experimentation.
  • Engineering of electrical systems, power electronics, or control systems, as assigned.
  • Assist in report writing and presentations
  • Conduct formal testing of methods and document results.
  • Preform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualification/Requirements:
  • Proven academic record.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with object-oriented programing and software development preferred.
  • Good attitude and team player who can also work independently.
  • Possess the interest and flexibility to be involved with interdisciplinary engineering tasks.
  • Strong initiative and excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residence.
 
Education/Training:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
  • Professional experience not necessary but must be able to demonstrate the willingness and ability to learn.
