Navatek LLC, a privately-owned defense contractor is seeking an Aerospace Engineer to work on a range of exciting Department of Defense research and design challenges. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to ground-breaking research across a diverse range of applications in manned and unmanned air vehicles, advanced materials and composites, additive manufacturing, and robotics. Job Summary/General Description:

The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in aerospace engineering or related discipline. The candidate will conduct basic and applied research for the development of inflatable/adaptive air vehicle technology.

Essential Functions:
  • Development of air vehicle concept design and operation.
  • Assist with investigating and analyzing methods for aerodynamic design optimization.
  • Conduct CFD simulations for aerodynamic and stability analysis of various airfoil, wing, and wing-body configurations.
  • Participate in wind-tunnel test model design, setup, and testing.
  • Collaborate with fabrication and structural analysis teams to develop practical solutions.
  • Report writing and presentations.

Education and Experience:
  • B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, or related field, from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience using CAD software: Solidworks, Catia
  • Experience using commercial CFD software (Star CCM+, Fluent) a plus.
  • Experience with wind-tunnel testing a plus.
  • Experience with US Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and/or Air Force a plus.

Position Requirements:
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who can take new ideas and execute solutions in an independent environment.
  • Must show proof of work eligibility in the United States.
  • US Citizenship required.
