NTA is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Embedded Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems design and development, with a passion for solving complex problems and working on cutting-edge technology. Key roles and responsibilities include designing, developing, and optimizing software and FPGA firmware solutions for embedded systems. The ideal candidate will also have experience in low-level programming, hardware/software integration, real-time systems, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. As our engineers work closely with customers, effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential. 
Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer, Electrical, Software, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution 
  • 5 or more years of engineering experience 

Required: 
  • Experience with low-level systems programming in C 
  • Experience with object-oriented software development in C++ 
  • Experience with FPGA firmware development in VHDL 
  • Experience with real-time systems and software (RTOS) 
  • Experience with Linux operating systems, preferably Red Hat 
  • Independent and self-motivated, problem solver, and strategic thinker
Desired: 
  • Experience with Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulation and testing 
  • Familiarity with integrated GPS/Inertial navigation systems 
  • Familiarity with RTEMS and/or Xenomai 
  • Proficiency with Xilinx family of SOCs and toolchains 
 
A high level of computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are required, along with organizational, managerial, written, and verbal communication skills. Applicant should be detail oriented with good analytical skills, a team player, and able to handle multiple deadlines and priorities. 
Applicant must have a current security clearance or be able to obtain a security clearance through a government security investigation. U.S. Citizenship is required.
