This role bridges systems software, integration, and hands-on hardware testing. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of software and hardware, serving as the technical bridge between the two. It supports the Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) in missile and aviation system research and development.

NTA, Inc. is seeking a motivated Computer Engineer / Electrical & Computer Engineer with a strong software background who enjoys working closely with hardware. Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from an ABET accredited institution
- 5 or more years of engineering experience
Required:
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ (Python or scripting experience a plus)
- Experience working with Linux and/or RTOS environments
- Comfortable working with hardware: schematics, datasheets/ICDs, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Experience debugging software-hardware integration issues
- Familiarity with version control (git) and modern software development workflows
Desired:
- Exposure to device drivers, BSPs, or low-level firmware
- Experience supporting hardware test and validation setups in lab environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across disciplines
- Experience with navigation systems or sensors
- Familiarity with integrating hardware and software for navigation platforms
- Exposure to testing or validating navigation algorithms in lab or HWIL environments
- Experience with MIL-STD-1553 bus or similar avionics communication protocols
