Essential Duties:
Assists in streamlining and administering automated application process, pre-employment testing & screening, and maintaining these records for employee records and for the Human Resources Department.
Maintains HR records for regulatory purposes.
Provides feedback and explanations to employees as needed to meet the Company's needs and to remain in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Prepares and updates job descriptions through job analyses and wage surveys.
Maintains good rapport and working relationships with employees and supervisors in an effort to prevent, resolve, and/or cope with personnel problems and issues affecting the workplace.
Conducts benefits administration by providing input on new programs and assisting employees with related questions.
Develops and posts content for OCI’s social media platforms on a consistent basis to drive employment applications.
Reviews incoming applications and resumes from candidates, tracking results of interviews for records, and responding to applicants in a timely manner.
Conducts telephone and face to face interviews, schedules interviews, and conducts OCI facility tours.
Drafts and presents job offers.
Enters employee records into company databases and helps employees create passwords, establish their account access.
Meets with new employees to review progress on trainings, orientation, development toward goals and highlights issues of concern or interest for HR Manager and/or supervisors to review.
Files and maintains records of hired employee characteristics for company and regulatory purposes.
Conducts new employee orientation.
Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
Guides employees on EAP services, looping HR Manager for sensitive issues that may require managerial attention.
Drafts attendance and conduct warnings.
Maintains employee attendance records.
Creates and promotes employee acknowledgments: anniversaries, birthdays, achievements.
Maintains environmental, safety, and training records for the HR Department.
Schedules and conducts trainings, documenting training progress for employee development purposes.
Performs community outreach both to attract talent and to promote the company as a community leader.
Coordinates company events and training activities, providing food and materials for the events, promoting the events internally to staff.
Drafts Workers’ Compensation claims and submits them to Insurance.
Drafts and submits Unemployment Insurance Claim Protests in a timely manner.
Recruits new candidates for employment consideration from online resources, schools, other employers, and any other entities housing talent. Represents OCI at career fairs to generate employment application traffic in all company locations.
Monitors online recruiting sites to help ensure that the HR team maintains within budget.
Assists HR Manager and EHS Manager with documenting expenses for HR budget purposes.
Assists with office filing and administrative duties as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Sr. Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) preferred.
