Reviews routers to ensure inventories have been received and quantities are correct in all operations. Makes all final corrections on routers.
Communicates and coordinates deliveries and pickups with shipping vendors.
Utilizes computer system to produce shipping paperwork such as packing lists. Reviews shipping list to ensure scheduled shipments are brought to area and processed for shipment.
Prepares shipments including labels, packing slips and destination stickers. Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers. Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet customer specifications.
Prepares and sends Advanced Shipping Notices to notify customers of upcoming shipments. Uses STX computer program to enter and transmit data regarding shipments.
Maintains finished goods inventory by receiving finished goods into inventory and shipping finished goods from inventory by using the Vantage system.
Orders and maintains supplies including tubs, racks, boxes, tape, forms, etc.
Assists Production Supervisor in expediting orders throughout shop to ensure timeliness of shipments.
Assists Shippers as needed with loading and unloading trucks, assembling boxes, and packing.
Assists Building Managers and Salesin expediting orders throughout shop to ensure timeliness of shipments.
Operates sit-down forklift to load and unload trucks.Assembles boxes, and packing.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Loads/unloads trucks carrying large plates of steel and other materials using forktruck and overhead crane, identifies materials, examines materials for defects, and puts into stock or delivers to proper work area.
Compiles data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and requisitions and writes, types, or enters information such as quantity, source, and pricing into computer to maintain inventory for purchased components and raw material.
Performs data entry for Advance Shipping Notices, Bills of Lading, and other department related activities.
Assists in opening jobs once material is received by entering appropriate information into computer, signing off on router, and contacting necessary personnel.
Maintains material racks by keeping parts cage and bins clean, organized, and stocked
Creates and populates raw material and purchased component purchase orders in Vantage/E10 System.
Monitors raw material and purchased component inventory and contacts suppliers to release more when minimum levels are reached.
Conducts periodic inventory counts and prints inventory reports and balances inventory by making changes to quantity and bin location as needed.
Performs basic Purchasing responsibilities as needed. Contacts vendors and Purchasing Manager regarding issues with quotes, orders, deliveries, quantities, etc.
Assists in MRO buying for all aspects of plant (production, maintenance, etc.) by helping identify and source items needed, creating and sending purchase orders, and receiving orders into Vantage system.
Attaches maintenance related purchase orders to maintenance request in MyOCI to track asset repair costs.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), two years related experience and/or training and six months computer experience are required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively on telephone or before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
