Surerus is looking to hire a Human Resources Administrator in our Fort St John office. You'll be responsible for supporting a wide range of Human Resources functions for Surerus, including recruitment, onboarding, documentation, and data management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support various Human Resources programs, such as, recruitment, performance management, compensation, benefits and wellness, disability management, training and development.
- Provide support to employees and leaders for general Human Resources queries and workplace issues.
- Assist with recruitment initiatives; including job description development, advertising, interview support, offer letters and onboarding.
- Support Drug and Alcohol program administration and notifications.
- Work closely with the Director, Human Resources to research and implement policies, programs, processes, functions, and activities.
- Provide administrative support to the Director, Human Resources on a variety of Human Resources related duties.
- Support the recruitment process for selected positions including creating job postings, screening resumes, booking interviews, selection, follow-ups and reporting.
- Manage Human Resources page on company SharePoint and ensure all content is up to date and organized.
- Responsible for creating various Human Resources reports.
- Prepare essential Human Resources documents such as letters of employment, employment contracts, company memos, and required Human Resources reports.
- Organizing the maintenance of department records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Manage Human Resources files and ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all administrative functions adhering to applicable privacy laws.
- Support partner businesses and promote collaborative relationships
- Foster a positive workplace culture by addressing employee questions and concerns.
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Post Secondary education with a focus in Human Resources. Other related education or experience may be considered.
- Certified Human Resources Professional designation, or currently in the process of obtaining, will be considered as asset
- 1 – 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in the pipeline construction or energy industry.
- Understanding of the oil & gas and pipeline construction industry preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and facilitate trustworthy partnerships.
- Self-starter, with problem solving skills and adaptability.
- Knowledge of Union workforce collaboration and collective bargaining agreements.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience in Human Resources process and procedure implementation is considered an asset.
- High level of professionalism and integrity
